In this article, we flick through the games, history, and unknowns of Hitman, known as Agent 47, the famous assassin of the game world.
Hitman: Codename 47 – 2000
Agent 47, who became one of the most popular game characters with his charisma and talent, joined us on November 19, 200. The first game of the series, Hitman: Codename 47, was successful, but it did not get enough appreciation from the players.
Hitman 2: Silent Assassin – 2002
The sequel Hitman 2: Silent Assassin, which came after two years, was much more appreciated than the first game. The name Hitman gained great importance with the 2nd game, which improved in many ways.
Hitman: Contracts – 2004
Hitman: Contracts was the sequel to Hitman 2 in 2004. Although not as lauded as Silent Assassin, it managed to get good reviews overall. The most interesting feature of the game is that a few episodes took place in the same locations as Hitman: Codename.
Hitman: Blood Money – 2006
Again, after two years, we encountered another Hitman game. Hitman Blood Money, the 4th member of the series, achieved success similar to the 2nd game and received good reviews. Hitman: Blood Money is still known as one of the best games in the series.
Hitman Games After Six Years
Hitman: Absolution – 2012
We had to wait a little longer for the next Hitman game. Square Enix took the publisher seat of Hitman after Eidos came under the roof of Square Enix. Hitman: Absolution had a more linear structure compared to previous games. Another interesting issue was a leaked video that was not in the game.
From a cutscene on the internet, it seemed that Agent 47 gave himself to alcohol and was about to commit suicide.
Hitman Go – 2014
Hitman Go was a simple turn-based puzzle game developed by incorporating a project by Square Enix.
Hitman: Sniper – 2015
Hitman: Sniper, which was released for mobile platforms and allowed us to assassinate our target enemies with a sniper rifle, was one of the simple productions of the series.
Hitman – 2016
Published in episodes such as Telltale Games, Hitman’s first season began on March 11, 2016. Although the fact that Hitman consists of episodes is confusing, the game received mostly positive reviews.
Hitman 2 – 2018
In 2018, Hitman 2, developed by IO Interactive and Warner Bros., had a seasonal structure just like the first game. However, it was an unprecedented game compared to the first game. Many players who liked Hittite games also shifted their attention to games with different structures.
Hitman 3 – 2021
Hitman 3 is the last game of the series released in 2021 as Epic Games exclusive. It has become a game that somehow does not attract the attention of people. It may have received good reviews, but not sufficiently liked or was disappointing. Maybe it’s not a game people have been waiting for yet.
With our Hitman history and unknowns article, we review all the games released in the series. What happens in Agent 47’s fate is not known for now, but the players’ interest in sequels seems to have waned.
